Join us for an evening of learning to walk by faith as we hike in the darkness. After soup and Holden Evening Prayer this Wednesday, we will have time for guided reflection under the stars. Meet at Faith Lutheran's parking lot, Wednesday, Dec. 18th at 7:30pm and carpool the 15 minute drive to the Peregrin Disk Golf Course in Bidwell Park. The path is a mostly level train with occasional rocks. Please bring warm clothes, water, and a headlamp or flashlight. Please let Pastor Ben know if you plan on attending.
DID YOU KNOW: It’s useful to have a red light on your flashlight or headlamp during night hikes. Our retinas consist of rods and cones; while cones help us see the marvelous colors of the world during the day, rods help us see at night. Rods are less sensitive to red light, which is why red light helps us adjust to dark vision. If you don’t have a red flashlight or headlamp bulb, you can take a cheap sheet of red film and cut some out to fit over your light!
