Thank you for your continued patience as Faith Lutheran Church keeps us united in ministry while also providing as safe a place of worship as we are able.

Q: What is your worship policy regarding masks and vaccinations?
A: Masks are required at all times during in-person worship. Gaiters and face-shields are not suitable face coverings.  Please wear N95 masks or the equivalent (KN95, KF94) during worship. We will provide these masks for anyone who does not have them on Sunday. Due to the high number of Covid cases in Butte County, we are asking the congregation to refrain from singing during worship for the next few weeks. Vaccinations are not required to attend worship, but are highly encouraged.

Q: Where can I go to get vaccinated?
A: CVS Pharmacy on Spruce in Gridley / COSTCO in Chico / All Walgreens in Chico, Paradise, Oroville / Rite Aid on Mangrove in Chico / Walmart on Cal Oak Road in Oroville / Chico Community Vaccination Clinic at 560 Cohasset Road in Chico / Ampla Health in Chico / CVS Pharmacy on Esplanade in Chico / Oroville Sports Club / Gridley Orchard Hospital. For more information visit www.MyTurn.ca.gov.

Q: When should I get a COVID-19 test?
A: If you believe you have been exposed to somebody who has tested positive for the virus; if you work in healthcare or other high-risk areas where the virus may be easily transmitted; if you are feeling ill or have COVID-19 symptoms, including fever, cough, tiredness, loss of taste or smell, aches and pains, headache, sore throat, nasal congestion, or cold or flu symptoms; if you have been exposed to somebody displaying cold or flu-like symptoms. Please visit the CDC website for more info.

Q: Where do I go to get tested?
A: A quick and efficient way is through www.lhi.care where you can make an appointment either at Whitney Hall at CSU, usually within about 24 hours. Results typically come back in about 4-6 days, though this fluctuates depending on demand. Most drugstores, like CVS, provide testing as well as Ampla Health and other health clinics. You can also purchase take-home tests from most drugstores that give results in about 15 minutes. You can order 4 free tests via United State Postal Service. It's incredibly easy and quick to do.

Q: What sort of precautions should I be taking in general?
A: Continue to mask and social distance. If you are not feeling well or have a fever, stay home. If you travel, meet in groups of people, or work in an environment where there is a high risk of spread, get tested regularly. If you have not already done so, please consider vaccinating.

This has not been an easy journey, and in times of hardship, one may find some comfort in the idea that together, we will withstand and endure. “from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body’s growth in building itself up in love.” –Ephesians 4:16
