Our sister in Christ, Meridith Woods, died today and claimed God's promise of eternal life. Meridith had a heart full of joy, laughter, and love, but, after a series of health problems, that heart finally gave out.
Meridith deeply loved Faith Lutheran. Through her years here she served as an assisting minister, a council member, a choir member, and a healing prayer minister. Meridith was quick to welcome visitors and to give testimony about how Jesus had changed her life through Faith. Through Meridith's example of faith, her son, Christian, and granddaughter, Mackenzie, were baptised into Christ at Faith two years ago. Meridith's boisterous personality was a defining feature of Faith's community, and its absence will be deeply felt.
Cards can be sent to her son, Christian Leech via Faith Lutheran Church.
As we grieve for our loss of Meridith, may we give thanks that she has joy in Christ's heavenly kingdom.
