Lenten Memory Verse 4

God's love for us is unconditional. In Christ, God has done everything that is needed for our salvation. We call this grace. When we believe that God truly loves us and that Christ has truly saved us it transforms our lives and sets us free. But just as we can't force ourselves to be in love, we can't force ourselves to believe. Faith also is a gift from God. That said, like with love, we can do things to encourage our faith to blossom. In the same way that you might schedule a date-night with a partner, schedule a date-night with God.  Go for a walk and listen for the Spirit speaking in the wind. Take time to listen to your favorite hymns, read a devotional, or journal about the blessings you've received this week. Faith is a gift, make space in which to receive it.
