Lenten Memory Verse 5

When we are going through hard times, it is natural to pray that God take away our challenges. But when faced with his crucifixion, instead of praying that God take it away, Jesus recognizes that he was facing it for a reason, and Jesus prayed instead that God's name be glorified. As you face your challenges this week, consider that perhaps you are facing those challenges not because God is punishing you, but because God knows you are the person to provide encouragement, support, and leadership for others facing that same challenge. May you ask, "How can God's name be glorified in this moment?" and pray for God to give you strength and courage to do so.
