This past Sunday was an awesome way to kick off our Season of Ministry Celebration at Faith. “Welcome Home” was not the end but rather the beginning of our celebration. In the weeks between now and All Saints Day, November 6th, during worship we will be hearing from various ministries and ministry opportunities. We continue to learn each week about the different Spiritual gifts that are given to each and every one of us and hopefully have an opportunity to learn about ourselves and our own giftedness.
Pastor Ben has skillfully been asking us questions which are designed to give us a roadmap to discover our Spiritual Giftedness. In a few weeks, you will be hearing a bit about our history and what has been done with previous surveys. Worshipers will also hear about what Equipping at Faith Lutheran means for all of us and learn more about the various ministries that take place regularly through the people of Faith. The celebration continues all the way through All Saints Sunday on November 6th which in addition to celebrating saints we will have an opportunity to thank and celebrate the many people who make ministry possible at Faith Lutheran Church.
Your Equipping Ministry Team hopes that November 6th will be the most unique and powerful celebration of saints both those now celebrate in Heaven as well as we saints who continue to labor here on earth. “For All the Saints” promises to be a dignified and fun celebration of both. We cannot do it without your help. Did I mention potluck? Helpers are invited to contact me if they are interested in one of the areas for preparation: Balloons, setup, decorations, desserts, takedown, flowers etc. There are plenty of opportunities for everyone to become involved. We will be reaching out to many of you.
