Each week, Pastor Ben will send out reflection questions based on the previous week's sermon. These questions are to encourage you to connect the scriptures to your own life and to invite you to grow deeper in your relationships with others at Faith by discussing the questions together. This week's questions are based on the sin of wrath. Sermon: Wrath makes us slaves to self-righteousness, but Christ's grace restores us as beloved children of God.

Scripture: 2 CORINTHIANS 5:16-21, LUKE 15:1-3, 11B-32

Questions:

1) Anger recognizes a problem and seeks to restore it. Wrath recognizes a problem and seeks to destroy it. When have you used anger productively to address a problem in a relationship and restore it to health? When has your wrath destroyed a relationship?

2) Whose wrath do you fear? How does fear of that wrath change the way you live?

3) How could remembering God's grace for you help you move from destructive wrath to productive anger in a broken relationship in your life?

4) Where in our society do you see destructive wrath? How would replacing that wrath with grace-inspired productive anger change our society?
