A History of the Book of Genesis

If you heard Pastor Ben’s Advent Wednesday lectures on how the Bible came to be, you learned that the Holy Spirit gave us scripture not in one single miracle but through hundreds of miracles over thousands of years. Continuing this theme, a Faith Adult Continuing Education Class will be offered on the Book of Genesis. This class will use video lectures from The Great Courses series in which a professor from Rutgers University examines the historical, literary, and theological background of Genesis. Rather than asking participants to apply Genesis to their personal spiritual lives, the class will invite participants to learn new tools for better understanding the context of Genesis. The class will be facilitated by Bill Augros and Alex Jia in Rooms 7-8 at 11am on Sundays after worship.
