The
6th Street Center for Youth focuses on underserved or at-risk youth ages 14 to 24 where these youth can access meals, showers, case management and support for general life skills. This month, “The Greatest Gift Project” is challenging the people of Faith Lutheran to bring needed items to Worship and placed in the manger located beneath the altar in our Worship Center.
We are collecting Enrichment Items, which provide creative outlets, stress relief and a sense of normalcy for youth facing housing insecurity. These items help build confidence and community while supporting the center’s mission to empower young people to achieve independence.
Enrichment items include:
· Adult coloring books
· Art Supplies: paints, colored pencils, glue, canvases, markers
· Gift cards (movies, food, gas)
· Musical instruments
· Board games
For more information, contact Kate Ory, MacKenzie Wilson, or Kim Schweder by calling the office, or speak with one of them directly when you see them at worship.
