Bring Photos for Lent

During Lent, we will have the flower cross standing unadorned in the sanctuary. Each Sunday, you are invited to bring a photograph to place on the cross where we normally place flowers. Each Sunday has a theme based on the gospel story for what type of photograph you are encouraged to bring.

Please bring copies of photos that you do not need returned. If you could like to make a copy of a photo, we can do so in the church office. Through the season of Lent, the cross will be covered in the images of what we bring to the cross. On Easter Sunday, the images will remain on the cross, but be covered in the flowers of Christ’s resurrection.

February 26th: Pictures of famlies of belonging, by blood or by love

March 5th:  Pictures of our fears

March 12th: Pictures of bodies of water for which we give thanks

March 19th: Selfies of our vanity

March 26th: Pictures of loved ones who have died
